12 Belonging Project portraits are on exhibit at Grand Opera House Belfast.
The Migrant Centre NI and the Belonging Project are partnering with Queen's Film Theatre on Thursday, 22rd September for Community Relations and Cultural Awareness Week. The theme this year is Building the Future Together, with a focus on youth and how all members of our society can shape the future to be a positive space in which our diversity is celebrated.
Workshop aimed at participants ages 15 years+. Participants aged 15-17 yrs need to complete a signed parental consent form, available to download here

On Monday 19 September, Amnesty International and the Northern Ireland Community of Refugees & Asylum Seekers (NICRAS) invite you, your organisations, members and supporters to join us at Parliament Buildings, Stormont to say #RefugeesWelcome in a demonstration of solidarity and support. Our gathering will take place just hours before the United Nations General Assembly begins a high-level summit on refugees and migrants.
So, we ask you to set aside a few hours to help refugees on Monday 19 September: join us and make your voice heard! Bring banners, placards and signs with your own#RefugeesWelcome message or show of support. We would love it if NGOs and grassroots community groups, trade unions, churches, others and individuals united to send a clear message to our governments.

The Belonging Project will be working with the Belfast Central Library to display our portraits from July-September in an exhibition in the foyer's glass cases. In addition, we will have our transcripts, mementos, and QR codes available for viewing. We are still looking for participants to offer their mementos on loan for this exhibition, so if you are interested, please contact us by email at internsbmc@gmail.com or on our facebook page.
Calling all kids!!! Come see us at Titanic Belfast on 9 April in the Belfast Photo Festival! We will be running a workshop on how sports can promote social cohesion and acceptance. Afterwards, have your photo taken with us like one of our Belonging portraits. Don't forget to bring a momento from home that you feel represents you! We'll even send you a copy of your photo to send home!
On 10 March from 10:00am-12:30pm we will be running a workshop at UNISON as an event for International Women's Day. We will be focusing on topics such as diversity, identity, integration, and acceptance during this workshop, tailored towards BME women. Light lunch will be provided, and please email tony.gallagher@ictuni.org to reserve your spot!

Portraits will be available for viewing throughout the store from Thursday, 29 February to Thursday, 3 March. QR codes and transcripts will accompany the portraits to provide a fuller understanding of the project, in addition to a brief description leaflet that will be available on the landing directly up from the ground floor.

As a part of the Northern Ireland Human Rights Festival, the Belonging Project is happy to exhibit our portraits at Black Box in Belfast on Saturday, December 12.
People who have had to leave most of their belongings but more importantly their whole community, their friends, culture and history behind. We are taking part in the Human Rights Festival to share the stories of migrants in Northern Ireland in order to create a sense of belonging.

We're hosting a training with our diversity workshop toolkit on Wednesday, 25 November in our Belfast offices for ethnic minority community group members who would like to bring our newly-launched project to their organizations and communities! The Belonging Project will have a pop-up exhibition in the Banqueting Hall at Belfast City Hall on November 24. Our work will be featured as a part of the Belfast City Council's DiverseCity kickoff event Small Worlds Diversity.
